Munich based designer Konstantin Grcic is the A&W designer of the year 07.

Apprenticeship as cabinet maker at Parnham College, UK, 1988-1990 MA in Industrial Design, Royal College of Art, London. Grcic’s products have received prestigious design awards. In October 2000 Konstantin Grcic was nominated ‘Guest of Honour’ at the Interieur Biennial ( INTERIEUR 06 is the 20th edition of the Interieur Biennale. … It has been a tradition at the Interieur Biennale ) in Kortrijk/Belgium presenting an extensive show of his work.

Konstantin Grcic trained as a cabinetmaker at the John Makepeace School in Dorset, England, before studying industrial design at the Royal College of Art in London. Since founding his Munich-based practice Konstantin Grcic Industrial Design (KGID) in 1991, he has developed products, furniture and lighting for leading companies.
