Director Roman Polanski returned to the Parisian city thriller milieu with Frantic and Harrison Ford around twelve years after his earlier Paris set thriller film Der Mieter (1976).

Frantic is a 1988 neo-noir thriller by Roman Polanski and starring Harrison Ford as Dr. Richard Walker, Emmanuelle Seigner as Michelle, Betty Buckley as Sondra Walker, Gérard Klein as Gaillard, Jacques Ciron as The Hotel Manager.

Harrison Ford thought that ‘Frantic’ was a misleading title for the film as the script didn’t have a frantic pace. He suggested that ‘Moderately Disturbed’ would be a more appropriate title.

Interviewed on 2nd August 2015 in Paris before an outdoor screening of Frantic (1988), actress Emmanuelle Seigner said she didn’t know who star Harrison Ford was at the time the film was shot. Seigner said that she was only nineteen years of age and from a theater family. When she was further asked about Ford, she described him as being nice to everyone. She also mentioned that he was very protective of her, revealing that he had a second set of pedals installed in her car for use in the making of the movie. This was due to his concern about the young Seigner’s driving ability.
