The new MAN TopUsed Center is located in Jebel Ali, Free Zone Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and will serve as our sales hub in the Middle East region, in order to supply you with high-grade used commercial vehicles increasingly in future.

MAN TopUsed planned a brand new website including a blog for their newly launched MAN TopUsed center in the Middle East, all created following the MAN Corporate guidelines in terms of valuation and their identity.

Other than strength, speed and power, basketball players must possess excellent endurance. Whereas a distance runner or cyclist requires excellent low-intensity aerobic endurance, basketball players are expected to repeat multiple high-intensity activities with minimal rest periods. Speed endurance becomes an important factor, as does the ability to tolerate a high production of blood lactate.

This was the original tag line for many years. We have grown a bit since then, even took a hiatus. Interestingly enough a particular individual no longer has a liking for peas and bananas! Ironic… However he does enjoy his strawberries and broccoli (image that title for a blog!).

Tought of sharing my login pages for this site as well as for the showcase, arty and quite overboarding, but it reflects my style completely.

Even some other login pages to discover, I know of a flickr pool for login pages, quite a few nice examples, but couldn’t find the real gruop.

Launch of eZine vol4 with updated content, new images, last projects and more stuff to go.

Even some new videos like the McQueen / Dunaway chess scene from The Thomas Crown Affair (1968), one of my alltime favourites besides the BladeRunner movie.

A few WordPress theme updated with new features, cleaner codes and enhanced with gadgets.

Also enabled with Flickr, Delicio and Twitters option panel, related posts, recent comments with gravatars are built into the themes now.

Theme configuration is easy made via the themes option panel with Flickr and comment subscription, theme is fully widgetized, all sidebars. Icons for dates, links and info are featured as well.

All three themes are enabled with a fluid column outfit with widgetized sidebars, built in are recent comments with gravatars, related posts, social bookmarking enabled, native WP tag system, flickr is enabled in its own options panel.

More of an overhaul than a complete redesign of my website, still in love with the previous version, but it was time to make things easier to navigate, to use new fonts and a new style for the frontpage.

New fonts as the Steiner and similar fonts are now dead, used by too many, therefore a dead end.
Frontpage slide is now powered by jQuery instead of the serp’s unreadable swf file.
It’s heaver on load but allows more options and tweaks.

Redone the about page, added more testimonials for better visibility.
Still some stuff to do, like adding new footer areas (music or social like friendfeed ?), but that has time.

Maybe I should convert milo317 too to plain white…. be sure to view the E Zine in full screen mode to get the whole experience.

But the temptation of Eisbach’s wave has always been enough to make even the most law-abiding surfer flout the rules — and the phenomenon has been a nuisance for the city government for years. Politicians in the past have called for a surfing ban, and one plan even suggested reworking the bed of the canal to eliminate the wave entirely.

Semantic markup also refers to semantically organizing the web page structure and publishing web services description accordingly so that they can be recognized by other web services on different web pages. Standards for semantic web are set by IEEE

Apparently I’ve chosen the right city to live and work in Germany: Munich.
According to the key indicators for technology, talent and tolerance by the Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, Munich made the first place in all the bespoken areas.
The domain level for *.de in Munich with 282.4 domains per inhabitants higher than in any other german city, also the city Munich leads the german University ranking by 27 points, while the rent prices (9.41 Euro per squaremeter) are the highest among all other german cities.

The coffee prices in Munich are somewhat ridicolouos: 7 Euro for a takeaway(!) (insert brand) coffee, not mentioning that this takeaway coffees are the worst crap money can buy.
Ever tried a REAL latte macchiato at a good italian restaurant?
Or better: visit Lake Garda, have a break in the city Limone at a Cafe after surfing the whole day and enjoy the REAL italian coffee instead of this sleezy takeaway coffee.

Blood, sweat and tears… working with CS3 isn’t the easiest thing, especially combining flash and photoshop together gave me some headaches. Nevertheless it’s alive and kicking.

Application design

Small releases also prevent the project from straying too far from the intended goals before the direction can be corrected. In this regard smaller releases can be considered a risk mitigation strategy as well. The key to a small release approach is to identify the individual subsystems that make up the larger system and rank those subsystems by importance. The most important pieces are then delivered first to add value quickly.

Here you will find all my previous posts (around 685 posts contained with 834 comments) imported via the native WordPress tool,
the whole content within all permalinks are working and all of my HUNDRED free WordPress themes.

Please update your bookmarks, feed subscription and mail adresses.

Moving was farly easy: exported all content, from the set up of a new server (now proudly hosted by MediaTemple), one main domain : 3oneseven to the shop and the test page for WordPress themes.
However the XML file was too heavy (around 4mb), so I had to cut it in two pieces to get the import working.
Managed to get all pages, posts as well as the categories in the right place imported.

Updating the permalinks

structure was not that tricky, see this example:
old permalink: milo.peety-passion.com/2007/11/29/newspaper-style
new permalink: 3oneseven.com/29/newspaper-style

Just replaced the old address (milo.peety-passion.com/2007/11/29/…)
with this string 3oneseven.com/29/.. through the permalink options.

Of course I still have to update older posts, which are showing dead links to the previous page, but I am half way through.

Improvements

Some areas were improved, like the all new gallery page now with a hand coded flash application.
Permalinks are now much nicer that before, from ../2007/11/29/… to ../29/… which should achieve better SEO compability.
Categories have a nicer prefix with the term topics.
Site speed should be ok now with the install of the latest wp cache, but the supercache looks interesting, might try that.
The RSS Feed shows now a RSS to PDF link, means you can download posts to your hard drive as a PDF.

Hosting

New server provided by MediaTemple with plenty of space and huge bandwidth, this way I am thinking of setting up hosting of other sites, if this sounds interesting, please drop me a line,
however it won’t be mass hosting, just a few handpicked sites. =)

Fun while others are now jumping on the bandwagon and are working on a magazine WordPress theme style, I’ve created the NewYorker magazine theme as an online newspaper in March…

Splash Magazine 3.17 WordPress Theme with a fluid three column outfit showing an edgy magazine / newspaper style, two widgetized sidebars as well as the footer (five columns) with typical WordPress action like calendar, built in are recent comments and related post, flickr support is featured too in its own bar. The frontpage shows the three latest posts asigned by your desired category. Additional five columns footer for your needs: e.g. ads, video section gallery…

Featured items:

Built in is a nifty drop down menu: shows different pages and posts as well as archives or news items. The menu items are accessible on hover in a second bar. I’ve added a tabbed column with its own menu and content on the homepage. The post dates are especially formatted to draw more attention to each post, as well as stylish newspaper style icons. Currently the demo page shows a movie via a built in flv player (not included), but it’s easy to set up a fflash gallery or similar.

The WordPress themeviewer is momentary offline for updates, so I’ve set up a simple themeviewer, please use the theme switcher to access other themes.

Cats usually vocalize because they want something like food, rubs or a good brushing. Often though what they want is for you to pay attention to them. Occasional meowing throughout the day is cute and part of many cats’ normal behaviour. But some cats are “talking” different, just watch the video pleasse.

Dead funny

Last night I’ve had to code some mapping and tweaking of a database, Over worked and exhausted, couldn’t sleep, so I finished the coding for the mockup, here is the first psd, I’ve created another mockup for the single page view, have still to tweak some bugs and validate it, but I’m very pleased with the finish, as I could establish almost everything, what I wanted like the projects slider in the footer as well as a good functions php, therefore less plugins to work with:
