Catherine Lisa Bell (born August 14, 1968) is a film/TV actress and producer known for her roles as Lieutenant Colonel Sarah MacKenzie of the television series JAG from 1997 to 2005, Denise Sherwood of the series Army Wives from 2007 to 2013, and Cassandra “Cassie” Nightingale of Hallmark’s The Good Witch film and television series.

Catherine was born in London, but moved to California with her Iranian mother at age 2. Her mother still acts as her personal assistant. As a child, she acted in various TV adverts.
She went to UCLA to study biology, but dropped out to become a model in Japan. She moved back into acting with a Mexican commercial for Amex and then followed that up by being Isabella Rossellini’s nude body double in Death Becomes Her.
She has a tattoo of each of her children’s names. Daughter Gemma is on her left wrist in ancient Persian and son Ronan is on her right inner forearm in an ancient Celtic script called Ogham.
