Bjork
Bjork Guðmundsdóttir had a contest for the best wallpaper, I like her music, not all of it, but the collaboration with David Arnold for the movie The Young Americans (Play Dead) was tremendous. Interesting story about the director of YA: Danny Cannon.

After the huge flop Judge Dredd he was down and out in Hollywood. It took him several years until he came back to the screen (TV) with the furious CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and its derivates.

Björk’s father, Guðmundur Gunnarsson, is a well-known union leader in Iceland and was nationally recognized before his daughter became famous. Her mother, Hildur Rúna Hauksdóttir, has also been politically active.

I don’t expect people to get me. That would be quite arrogant. I think there are a lot of people out there in the world that nobody gets.

Björk and her partner, artist Matthew Barney, have a daughter, Ísadóra Bjarkardóttir Barney, born 3 October 2002. Björk also has a son, Sindri Eldon Þórsson, born 8 June 1986, with Þór Eldon, who was her band mate in The Sugarcubes. Sindri is a journalist and plays bass for several bands.

Darling, stop confusing me
With your wishful thinking
Hopeful embraces
Don’t you understand?

I have to go through this, I belong to here
Where no one cares and no one loves
No light, no air to live in
A place called Hate, The City of Fear

I play dead, it stops the hurting
I play dead and the hurt stops

It’s sometimes just like sleeping
Curling up inside my private tortures
I nestle into pain
Hug suffering, caress every ache

I play dead, it stops the hurting
