As in a previous post mentioned, i tried to manage a nice(?) Christmas theme for Wordpress. Well, here it is: X-Mas, the clean and the kinky way…
Simple, two column theme based on the beautiful Brush Wordpress theme, just tweaked it a little bit:
- stripped the middle bar
- moved the right column to the left
- built in Sweet titles ( js and css ) by Dustindiaz.com
- built in I Box ( js and css ) , similar to the Lightbox plugin, but leightweighted ( 11kb ), for use, add rel=”ibox” to the image link
- built in Breadcrumb by Dan Peverill
- built in Flickr RSS by Eightface
- side bar tweaked with the Kaccordion.
Two versions are available, the clean one as seen at the themeviewer with Santa Claus and the not so clean featuring the Santa Chick.
Both Xmas themes support all plugins, tested in every browser: IE6, IE7, Opera9, FF 1.5+2.0, Netscape 8, only Safari shows some bugs in the sidebar. Your own favicon is onboard too, hmm, ok, that’s all, have fun with it.
The Theme can be viewed in action at the themeviewer and download please both versions at my shared folder:

Size: 434 KB including plugins, place the plugins in your WP plugin folder.
When Christmas is over, you only have to open the stylesheet in your administration, find this line:
background:url(images/brudek.jpg) no-repeat top right;
change it to
background:url(images/brudekx.jpg) no-repeat top right;
so your site will look like this screenshot.

so the theme is now available in two ways: clean + not so clean…
seems like the hispanic community is better prepared for Christmas themes, i’ve been featured at several hispanic fores and wp planeta.
