ClearCut is a highly configurable milo Wordpress theme for business or SEO blogs with a newspaper style layout.
Instead of showing your blogpage first, WordPress will load the custom home php file with a three column index designed as a magazine style template, but if you want your blog page to show up first, just remove the home.php template via your FTP browser, then WordPress will load the index php file with its features.
For the customizing of the milo ClearCut WordPress theme, please open the home php file in your admin panel, edit the text, link and the value to your likings. One more step: open the footer php in your admin panel and edit the middle box to your needs, e.g. add the flickr RSS plugin.
Features:
- left sidebar
- widget ready
- built in Sweet titles ( js and css ) by Dustindiaz.com
- built in I Box ( js and css ), similar to the Lightbox plugin, but leightweighted ( 11kb ), for use, add rel=”ibox” to the image link.
- options to choose index (blog) or home.php (static first page)
The ClearCut milo WordPress theme supports all plugins, tested in every browser: IE6, IE7, Opera9, FF 1.5+2.0, Netscape 8, even IE6 shows it the right way. Your own favicon is onboard, ok, that’s all, have fun with it.
Upload the file to your theme folder as described at the Wordpress Codex and activate it.

on Feb1 07Hi milo,
i want to use your clear-cut theme with slightly modified graphics. I’ve installed the newest version of Wordpress and installed your theme, uploaded my graphics und the widget-plugin, but i can’t use it. The widgets are not shown, or i don’t know where
But that is not the main problem.
I want to set a link to my blogpage (normaly index.php) but wordpress only shows the home.php
Is there a way to change this? Or do i have to live with this problems?
Thanks in advance and thanks for sharing this great theme.

on Feb2 07⇔ Tzanh: easy, just remove the home php file, then Wordpress will load the index file.
on Feb7 07Quick question, the buttons on the home page don’t seem to be working as links. Even visiting Tsanh’s page linked above in IE doesn’t load up… any help would be good.

ps- it does work in safari…
on Feb7 07IT’S CLEARLY STATED IN THE THEME THAT YOU HAVE TO EDIT THE LINKS TO YOUR NEEDS. AGAIN, PLEASE READ THE POST:
on Mar8 07I’m just wondering if anybody else is having problem with the archive page template showing as an option in the editor?
I’ve got it on two separate installs and the dropdown template thing doesn’t appear on either.
I don’t think it’s a wp issue as other templates’ page templates can be used from the editor.
Cheers.
on Mar8 07Sorted the dropdown thing. This was missing from the beginning of the archive page template:
Now I’ve just got to get it to display something.
on Mar13 07When I try to load index.php it takes me to the same page as the home.php. I know you’re supposed to remove home.php to get an ordinary blog chronology but I’d like to have both. I’m also aware of the link editing.
I still can’t get archive.php to display anything either.
I’d just like to know if there’s something I’m overlooking here or if things aren’t working correctly before I start having to really get under the hood to fix things.
