NY Times City Room has invited eight designers to review the new NYC Taxi Logo created by Smart Design. Interesting insights about the view of the reviewing creatives, for example Michael Bierut from Pentagram stated the form is more of a problem for him along with his confusion by the overall aesthetic of the new graphic, which seems to be intentionally crude and lumpy, more Checker than Crown Vic.
All in all I like those reviews as it shows a big variety from a creative point, instead of going the PR route.
