Firefox 2.0 / 3.0 places
The ff developers for the forthcoming firefox version 2.0 aren’t planning really new functions,
so the good feature called places isn’t included any more: places is a managment for bookmarks
it should be included now in version 3.0(sic!)

Adobe / future away?
Internet without a browser? Adobe labs is developing an extension named “apollo”, to start a new type
of internet applications directly from your desktop like conventional software. The bases in “apollo”
are flash, pdf and html. This should offer the same functions on all available hardware e.g desktop, laptop.
Unlike “ajax” appolo will be usable offline as well.
Apollo will be available early 2007

Redmond developed a new wga.certificate approve: e.g. pirate version of a xp will be checked
for a “legal” certificate, pirate-xp owners won’t have any more the ability to download patches
through microsoft.com, therefore the risks for pirate-xp users getting higher catching a virus or be attacked
by a hacker
