This is the best designed website for presidential candidates I’ve seen so far :
Barack Obama’s website
Although it has some minor validation errors, it works very well with dropdown menues, a clean and grid based layout, a beautiful blue tone, nice photoshoping with blended effects (see top left corner), placing a prominent sign up.
Issues:
Only the spanish version shows still the old layout, tagline is an image instead of html, h1 tag is an image instead of using a CSS image replacement method (article for CSS image replacement method), some other headings (e.g.Obama Blog) can be done without an image, perhaps span tags.
