Today I saw a sneak preview of The Shooter.
Should’ve been some good stuff, but a pumped up Mark Wahlberg looks like a reincarnation of Rambo with a real bad script.
“Shooter” should’ve been an action-packed(?) thriller with Mark Wahlberg as Bob Lee Swagger, Wahlberg plays a former Army sniper who leaves the military after a failed mission. Then he’s reluctantly forced back into his old job, now lil’ Swagger is double-crossed again. Shot two times and then the subject of a nationwide manhunt, the character starts his revenge to take down the political and powerful people in the country.
Seems like Antoine Fuqua, the director of Training Day, had a bad day, although The Replacement Killers was some sort of good work.
