His muse is the the city of Milan, which supplies each day new ideas for pictures and paintings. In the nineties Marco Petrus came up with colourful panorama paintings of Milan, in between closely drenched office buildings the dome of a church emerged. Petrus belongs to a group of painters and sculptors, who founded four years ago the Italian Factory.

The Torre Velasca inspired the artist in particular, since 2001 around thirty paints are showing the fortress reminding office tower built by the architects BBPR and thereby transformed it into pop versions, whose colour pallet remind of Mel Ramos.
